TREATMENT AFTER CARE

Massage/Holistic/Sperience Therapies

Occasionally you may experience reactions when the body begins its self healing process and elimination of toxins. These may include:

  • Deep sleep or difficulty sleeping with vivid dreams
  • Frequent visits to the toilet
  • Conditions which have been suppressed may flare up temporarily before they heal
  • Achy muscles
  • Headaches
  • Runny nose and/or cough/cold symptoms

These are all signs the body is healing itself and should only last 24-48 hours. Make time to relax, avoid caffeine and alcohol and increase the amount of water you drink and eat a light meal to alleviate these side effects. Avoid having other body treatments for at least 24 hours.
A specific treatment plan will be advised after your treatment.

If you have ANY reaction ie. rash, swelling, itchiness, redness, scabs, soreness to the skin - please remove any product thoroughly, apply cold compress until symptoms pass. If the condition worsens over a 24 hour period please visit your GP/A&E and inform The Revive Company as soon as possible.

Tinting/Lashes

A patch test must be carried out at least 24 hours prior to the tinting/lashes. We will refuse booking if a patch test is not given.

In the event of any of the following symptoms after the patch test, the treatment cannot be carried for your own safety.

* Itchiness
* Redness
* Hot to touch
* Scabs forming
* Swelling of area or airways  - VISIT GP/A&E Immediately
* Difficulty breathing - VISIT GP/A&E Immediately

If in the event of any of the above symptoms happening; remove product immediately and apply a cold compress. If any of the symptoms worsen over 24 hours, please visit your GP or A&E. An anti-histamine can be taken but ONLY if you have taken these before and have had no known side effects. If you have not taken an anti-histamine before, please check with your GP before hand.

If you do not have any side effects after the patch test then the treatment can take place.

Lashes have a life cycle and naturally fall out daily. Tinting will last around 4-6 weeks, by this time the lashes that have been tinted will have fallen out and tinting will naturally fade. Look after your eyes by avoiding picking/pulling lashes and rubbing your eyes.

With regards cluster individual lashes, please follow the above aftercare. Do not pick the lashes off, use only lash remover. This can be booked in with myself at a charge of £5.00, where I will use a professional lash removal product. Cluster lashes will last anything from around 3-5 days.
Please follow the below aftercare to get the most out of your lashes:
  • Avoid hot baths, saunas and jacuzzis
  • Avoid getting water into the eye when showering
  • Do not wear mascara
  • Avoid using cotton wool on lashes and oily make up removers
  • Use cotton buds soaked in an oil free make up remover to remove eye shadow and liner
  • Do not rub, touch or pick lashes
Follow these steps to avoid damaging your own lashes

Waxing

Please follow the guidelines below to ensure your skin is cared for properly over the next few days.
Please note: some slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over the next 24-48 hours. If you experience persistent redness or irritation, or if you have any questions,please do not hesitate to contact us.
Keep the waxed area clean, and avoid heat and friction during the next 24-48 hours.
• No hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only).
• No saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments.
• No tanning (sunbathing, sun beds or fake tans).
• No sport, gym work or other exercise.
• Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands.
• Wear clean, loose fitting clothes.
• Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools.
• Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other products to the area, other than those recommended by your therapist.
• To soothe and protect the skin, apply an antiseptic cream to the waxed area regularly for 3 days following your treatment. Always wash your hands before applying any product.To prevent ingrown hairs: starting a few days after your appointment,gently scrub the skin 2 times a week in the bath or shower using a loofah or exfoliating mitt. Also moisturise the area every day, which will keep the skin supple and help new hairs to grow through normally.You may notice a small amount of re-growth after a week or so. It can take up to 4 treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives best results.Hair needs to be at least ½ cm long before it can be successfully removed by waxing; please do not use any other hair removal methods between your appointments. To maintain your smooth appearance, we recommend regular waxing every 4-6 weeks.

GELeration Manicure and Pedicure

GELeration would be expected to last at least for 14 days PROVIDED you give them a little care and attention during that time. Follow the steps below to keep your nails in tip top condition:
GELeration is hard wearing with NORMAL wear and tear, which means you to add a little protection to your nails when doing tough jobs such as household cleaning and gardening by wearing gloves!!
Hobbies that are tough on your hands/nails or using chemicals without wearing gloves can considerably effect your GELeration. Remember your nails are not tools!!

If you do cause some damage or notice any of the following signs we hope you find the advice below helpful
.
*If lifting or peeling is noticed please do NOT pick or pull at the lifted area, as this will cause the lifting to increase and could even damage the natural nail. Please get in contact with me, so that I can assess the nail and decide if a repair is necessary. Please note that repairs may be chargeable.

*If you are on holiday please be careful when using sun tan oils or insect repellent solutions as many of these products contain DEET which will cause major damage to the GELeration. Apply these and then take care to remove an excess product from nails thoroughly.

*Using  Jessica Phenomen Oil at least twice a day (especially at night before going to bed). surrounding them healthy, moisturised and flexible so that if you knock your nails they are more likely to flex than break.

*If you wish to temporarily change the colour of your nails whilst wearing GELeration you can use nail enamel over the top but please be sure to use an Acetone Free Remover when removing nail polish.

*Relative to your life-style and activity level, your GELeration will need fortnightly or three weekly maintenance as there will be obvious re-growth. At this point I can soak off existing GELeration and apply a fresh new colour or remove the GELeration completely which is charged at £10.00 and includes a mini manicure and a moisture pack to ensure you leave with your nails looking their best. Another alternative is to purchase the at home kit "Erase" for £13.50 which contains everything you will need for safe removal.
If you do decide you want to remove your GELeration please call me and let me do it safely for you in the salon or purchase a removal kit which contains the correct products for safe removal . Incorrect removal at home may damage the surface of your nails. I will be able to remove GELeration using a professional remover and to give you a mini-manicure so that your natural nails look perfect.
